ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½engaged with customs officials at training workshops in Tajikistan this week, to raise awareness of higher level guarantees as well as TIR¡¯s tried and tested IT tools.
The workshop comes ahead of the introduction of the TIR+ voucher in Tajikistan, which will make TIR even more flexible by covering extra guarantee limits when needed, and securing customs duties and taxes.
The use of TIR¡¯s digital tools in Tajikistan is an important step towards the prospect of fully digital TIR, paving the way for future logistics operations.
ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½also presented the eTIR project, and e-CMR, the digital consignment note, highlighting benefits of accurate and faster data exchange and greater transparency.
TIR+ and the implementation of TIR¡¯s IT tools, namely, Real-Time SafeTIR and TIR Electronic Pre-Declarations (TIR-EPD) were discussed in meetings with the Deputy Head of Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan, Azim Haidar Tursunzoda, with participation from the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Tajik member, the Association of International Road Carriers (ABBAT).
