ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½and Leaseurope (representing leasing and short-term rental) are jointly organising a high-level lunch discussion at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The event will bring together key industry stakeholders  and members of the European Parliament to exchange views on the transition to zero-emission vehicles under the European Commission¡¯s upcoming Greening Corporate Fleets Initiative.

Fleet operators from diverse sectors will share their first-hand experiences in transitioning to zero-emission vehicles, highlighting both opportunities and challenges. Discussions will focus on the policy measures needed to support fleet decarbonisation effectively and ensure a balanced and pragmatic approach for businesses.

This discussion comes at a pivotal time, as the European Commission prepares to propose a legislative initiative on Greening Corporate Fleets by the end of the year, as outlined in the . The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles in corporate fleets, with the Commission considering various measures, including the possible introduction of specific fleet targets.

This event will provide a unique platform for policymakers and industry representatives to exchange insights on shaping a realistic and effective regulatory framework for fleet decarbonisation.
