Amongst IRU¡¯s many Awards for the passenger and transport sector, the Grand Prix d¡¯Honneur is our most prestigious, recognising outstanding bravery and courage.

In 2023, the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Grand Prix d¡¯Honneur was awarded to all professional bus, coach, taxi and truck drivers for their bravery, courage and dedication in serving through the pandemic, conflicts and natural disasters, despite risks to their own lives.

The award was symbolically accepted by three professional drivers from Switzerland at IRU¡¯s 75th anniversary event.

The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Grand Prix d¡¯Honneur is awarded posthumously to Karen Verbrugge, a 55-year-old bus driver and hero from the Belgium company De Lijn.
