The General Assembly of IRU, the world road transport organisation, has unanimously re-elected Radu Dinescu as President along with new vice presidents and a new Presidential Executive. The 2025-2027 term will mark two significant firsts for women in commercial road transport.

Today in Geneva, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½members re-elected Radu Dinescu as President for a third term.
ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½members also elected new vice presidents and members of the Presidential Executive (IRU¡¯s governing board), as well as members of its passenger and goods council boards.
The voting followed two days of meetings in Geneva which included the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Passenger Transport Council, the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Goods Transport Council and the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½General Assembly.
For the first time, the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Passenger Transport Council will have a woman President, Anna Gr?nlund (Deputy Managing Director, SBF, Sweden), and the Presidential Executive will have four women, echoing the road transport sector¡¯s drive to boost the representation of women in its workforce.
