Rui'an Transportation Group joins IRU

IRU, the world road transport organisation, welcomes Rui'an Transportation Group as a new member, marking a strategic step in the company¡¯s ambition to expand its international road freight business with the TIR system.

Rui'an Transportation Group, based in Rui'an, Zhejiang Province, China, has joined ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½as its newest member.

Specialised in transport, logistics and warehousing, Rui'an Transportation Group has a diverse portfolio of businesses, including road passenger transport, road freight, port facilities, and construction.

With an existing fleet of 356 passenger vehicles, Rui'an Transportation Group has now expanded into TIR transport. Its acquisition of 55 trucks demonstrates a strong commitment to expanding cross-border logistics capabilities.

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, ¡°We are pleased to welcome Rui'an Transportation Group into the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½family. Its growing portfolio of road transport services, particularly TIR operations, will drive logistics efficiency and sustainability across China and the region.¡±

Rui'an Transportation Group Chairman Huang Liwu said, ¡°By joining IRU, we are eager to leverage its global network and expertise to expand our international road freight business with the TIR system, including through TIR logistics hubs. Together, we aim to open new TIR trade corridors from the strategically important Zhejiang region.¡±

Originally established as the Changyun Company in the early post-liberation period as a state-owned transport enterprise, it was restructured into Rui'an Long-Distance Bus Transportation Company in 1988 following the decentralisation of the management system. In 2019, it became the Rui'an Transportation Group to further expand its activities.
