ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Policy Observations on the revision of the EU transport legislative framework
This policy document outlines IRU¡¯s positions on the EU road transport legislation currently under review in the Road Initiatives. In the context of the upcoming ¡°Road Initiatives¡± revision of the road transport legislative framework, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½has a number of observations on how the current rules could be improved. This document covers IRU's agreed positions on:-
- Access to the profession (Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009)
- Access to the freight and passenger market (Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009)
- Road charging (Directive (EC) 2004/52, Decision (EC) 2009/750 and Directive (EC) 1999/62)
- Social and enforcement legislation (Regulation (EC) No 561/2006
- Directive 2002/15/EC and Directive 2006/22/EC).
