ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½presented to the ASEAN Truck Federation (ATF) at its annual meeting in Jakarta this week, highlighting the benefits of TIR and the positive role for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Academy.
ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½introduced the Academy¡¯s pivotal role in training drivers to improve road safety in the Southeastern Asian region to members of the newly-established ATF, comprising associations from nine out of the ten ASEAN countries.
The highly efficient and streamlined TIR system was also emphasised, with a demonstration of how China¡¯s recent accession to TIR, coupled with TIR expansion to more ASEAN countries, will help facilitate trade in the region by reducing the cost and time of crossing borders.
